These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Jackson Leil Shishi LLC ("we", "us", "our"), the operator of the World Noon website and related features (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be of legal age in your jurisdiction to form a binding contract (and at least 13 years old in any case). If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
World Noon displays a live world map on which a stylized point of light sweeps continuously across the globe following solar noon. Visitors present on the site appear as glowing dots at a city-level approximation of their timezone. Optional paid features include a "Today's Glow" pass that highlights your dot for a limited time, and a "Make the World Go Round" donation that displays your chosen name in a public ticker for 7 days. The Service is provided for entertainment and communal-ambient purposes.

The Service does not require an account. Your identity on the map is a random UUID stored in your browser. You are responsible for any information you voluntarily submit — in particular, the display name used for donations — and for keeping it accurate and appropriate.
The Service, including its software, visual design, branding, sweep animation, and documentation, is owned by Jackson Leil Shishi LLC and its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Subject to these Terms we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for its intended purpose. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
By submitting a display name or other content to the Service, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to host, display, and process that content solely to operate the Service (for example, to display your name in the donation ticker for the 7-day window). You represent that you have the rights necessary to grant this license.
Payment processing for the Service is provided by Stripe, Inc. ("Stripe"). Stripe handles card processing, tax calculation and collection, invoicing, refunds, and chargeback handling on our behalf. Your use of Stripe checkout is additionally governed by Stripe's Consumer Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Prices are displayed at checkout and may include applicable taxes calculated by Stripe. All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. Stripe's own terms govern the payment transaction itself.
A "Today's Glow" pass is a one-time purchase that highlights your firefly for the remainder of the current Eastern-noon window, subject to a global daily cap of 10 passes. If the cap has already been reached at the moment of a successful charge, the purchase is automatically refunded through Stripe. Donations through "Make the World Go Round" are voluntary contributions and, following display, are non-refundable except where a payment error occurred (see the Refund Policy).
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, or that specific features (map sweep, streak logic, glow pulses) will always be present in their current form. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you actually paid through Stripe for the Service in that period and (b) US$100. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or streaks. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Jackson Leil Shishi LLC and its officers, employees, and agents from any claim, damage, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, engaged in fraud or abuse, put the Service or its visitors at risk, or if required by law. On termination, sections that by their nature should survive will survive.
We may change, add, or remove features of the Service at any time. We review these Terms weekly and may update them; material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States of America, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The state and federal courts located in Delaware will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service, and you consent to personal jurisdiction and venue there, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect its intellectual property.
You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
We are not liable for any failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, war, terrorism, civil unrest, labor disputes, internet or infrastructure outages, or government action.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Notice and the Refund Policy, form the entire agreement between you and Jackson Leil Shishi LLC regarding the Service.
The simplest way to reach us is to reply to the payment receipt Stripe emails you after any purchase or donation — replies are routed to Jackson Leil Shishi LLC. A direct written mailing address is available on request through the same channel.
