The family of Emily Sherwin, a 20-year-old diver who went missing off the Dorset coast, has expressed their eternal sorrow at her disappearance. Described as outgoing, loving, and loyal, Emily was last seen diving near Old Harry Rocks in Swanage on July 23. Despite the efforts of the police, HM Coastguard, RNLI, and even a dive team from Avon and Somerset Police, Emily has yet to be found.
In a touching statement, Emily’s family shared their grief over her loss while highlighting her unique qualities. They remembered her as high-spirited, someone who lit up every room she entered. Her love for the sea, sailing, and diving was evident, and she was enthusiastic about pursuing a career in marine conservation. Despite the dedication of search teams and the community, including the RNLI, coastguard, police divers, and volunteers from Parkstone Yacht Club, Emily still remains missing. The family continues to receive updates from the authorities, with thoughts and prayers going out to all those affected by Emily’s disappearance.
