The Potential Launch of Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra and New Smartwatches

Amidst months of speculation surrounding Samsung’s anticipated launch of a third foldable smartphone at the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event, recent reports suggest that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra could indeed make its debut. However, the twist lies in the fact that this Ultra foldable smartphone may only be released in South Korea, with no plans for a global rollout.

The information regarding the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra originates from a report by Android Authority. The report claims to have identified the smartphone’s model number, SM-F958N, in a database, indicating the development of this Ultra variant. Notably, Samsung typically reserves the number eight at the end of the model number for devices bearing the Ultra moniker, as evident from past models like the Galaxy S24 Ultra (SM-S928x) and the Galaxy S24 (SM-S921x).

Furthermore, the report only uncovered a single model number for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra, hinting at its limited availability. The inclusion of the alphabet ‘N’ in the model number is interpreted as a reference to the South Korean market, leading to speculations that the Fold 6 Ultra may not see a wider international release.

Unveiling of Galaxy Watch Ultra and Galaxy Watch FE

In addition to the potential launch of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra, reports also indicate that Samsung is gearing up to introduce two new smartwatches – the Galaxy Watch Ultra and the Galaxy Watch FE. These smartwatches are expected to succeed the existing Galaxy Watch 6 and Watch 6 Classic models, forming part of the Watch 7 series.

According to details from the report by Android Authority, the Galaxy Watch Ultra will be represented by three model numbers – SM-L705U, SM-L705N, and SM-L705F. The coding ‘U,’ ‘N,’ and ‘F’ denote availability in the US, South Korea, and globally, respectively, suggesting a worldwide launch for this smartwatch variant.

Similarly, the Galaxy Watch FE is set to come in three model numbers – SM-R866F, SM-R866U, and SM-R866N. These model numbers indicate availability in the global, US, and South Korean markets, aligning with Samsung’s strategy for a broad release.

Overall, if the reports are accurate, Samsung’s upcoming event in July is anticipated to witness the official unveiling of not only the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra but also the Galaxy Watch Ultra and Galaxy Watch FE. While the limited release of the Fold 6 Ultra may disappoint global consumers, the prospect of new smartwatch variants entering the market is sure to pique the interest of tech enthusiasts worldwide.
