Motorola recently unveiled the Edge 50 Ultra and Edge 50 Fusion, expanding its smartphone lineup with powerful offerings. Both devices boast Qualcomm Snapdragon chipsets and Pantone-validated displays and cameras. The Edge 50 Ultra features a triple rear camera setup, while the Edge 50 Fusion comes with two rear cameras. These devices were introduced alongside the Motorola Edge 50 Pro, adding to the brand’s diverse range of smartphones.

Pricing and Availability

The Motorola Edge 50 Pro, priced at Rs. 31,999 for the 8GB + 256GB variant, was specifically launched in India. On the other hand, the Edge 50 Ultra starts at EUR 999 (roughly Rs. 88,900), while the Edge 50 Fusion is priced at EUR 399 (approximately Rs. 35,900). These smartphones are expected to hit the market in select regions across Asia, Europe, Latin America, and Oceania in the upcoming weeks. However, Motorola has not disclosed any plans for an India release as of yet.

The high-end Motorola Edge 50 Ultra is available in Forest Grey and Peach Fuzz colors, featuring a vegan leather finish and a unique Nordic Wood pattern. In contrast, the Edge 50 Fusion offers Hot Pink, Marshmallow Blue, and Forest Blue color options with vegan leather backs or a PMMA finish. Both models sport a 6.7-inch full-HD+ pOLED display with impressive specifications like a 144Hz refresh rate, 2,500 nits peak brightness, and a high screen-to-body ratio.

Under the hood, the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra packs a powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, coupled with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. The device runs on Android 14-based Hello UI for a smooth user experience. It features a top-of-the-line camera setup, including a 50-megapixel primary sensor with OIS, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 64-megapixel telephoto shooter. Additionally, the phone houses a 50-megapixel front camera for stunning selfies.

On the other hand, the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion comes with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 2 chipset, up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and up to 512GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The camera setup consists of a 50-megapixel primary sensor and a 13-megapixel ultra-wide lens on the rear, along with a 32-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls.

Battery Life and Connectivity

The Edge 50 Ultra is powered by a 4,500mAh battery with support for 125W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. It also offers dual 5G connectivity, along with various other connectivity options like Wi-Fi, GPS, NFC, and Bluetooth. The device boasts an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. On the other hand, the Edge 50 Fusion comes with a slightly larger 5,000mAh battery with 68W wired charging support and similar connectivity features as its Ultra counterpart.
