The CMF Phone 1 is generating a lot of buzz in the smartphone market, with Nothing revealing more details about the device as its official launch date approaches. While leaked renders have hinted at some of its features, new leaks from tipster Yogesh Brar on X have shed light on the phone’s specifications, design, and pricing in India. With a manual rotating wheel/dial, replaceable customisable rear panels, and an interesting price point, the CMF Phone 1 is shaping up to be a unique device in the market.
According to the leaks, the CMF Phone 1 will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC and will be available in two RAM and storage variants. The base model is expected to offer 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, while the higher variant may come with 8GB of RAM and the same storage capacity. The phone is rumored to support expandable storage of up to 2TB via microSD. Additionally, the device is said to feature a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, in-display fingerprint sensor, and run on Android 14 out of the box.
The CMF Phone 1 is reported to sport a 50-megapixel primary rear camera along with a depth sensor for enhanced photography. The primary camera is expected to support 4K video recording at 30fps but may not have optical image stabilization, only electronic image stabilization. For selfies, the device is said to come with a 16-megapixel front-facing camera. In terms of battery, the phone is rumored to house a massive 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W wired fast charging.
The leaked information also suggests that the CMF Phone 1 will come equipped with a LTPS panel with a variable refresh rate ranging from 30Hz to 120Hz. The display is expected to have a typical brightness of 800 nits, peaking at 2000 nits for better outdoor visibility. The phone is also rumored to carry an IP52 rating for dust and water resistance. In terms of design, the device is said to feature replaceable customisable rear panels and a unique manual rotating wheel/dial, adding to its overall aesthetic appeal.
According to the leaks, the CMF Phone 1 is expected to be priced at Rs. 20,000 onwards in India, with discounted rates of Rs. 15,999 and Rs. 17,999 for the two available variants. This pricing strategy, coupled with the phone’s innovative design and features, makes it an intriguing option in the mid-range smartphone segment. As we eagerly await the official launch of the CMF Phone 1 on July 8, it will be interesting to see how Nothing’s latest offering stacks up against the competition and whether it can live up to the hype surrounding it.
