Rumors and leaks have suggested that the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE could be introduced this year. Despite the unusual decision to skip a model and launch the Galaxy S23 FE as the successor to the Galaxy S21 FE, information about the next generation of the FE lineup has surfaced, hinting at its possible launch. It remains unclear whether the smartphone will be unveiled during the Galaxy Unpacked event in July or in October, following its predecessor’s release timeline.
According to a tipster on X (Twitter), the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE might feature a 6.1-inch AMOLED display, a slight decrease from its predecessor’s 6.4-inch screen size. Additionally, the smartphone is expected to be powered by the Exynos 2400 SoC, with a mention of a possible Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, although it is speculated that only the Exynos chipset will be used globally. This means that the Indian variant might not get the Qualcomm processor.
The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE is rumored to come with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and two inbuilt storage variants, offering 128GB and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. This upgrade in memory and storage capacity could provide users with improved performance and more space for their files and applications.
In terms of battery capacity, the handset is said to be equipped with a 4,500mAh battery, similar to its predecessor, the Galaxy S23 FE. However, details regarding the cameras, design, and color options of the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE have not been specified in the leaks. It would be interesting to see if Samsung introduces any significant changes or new features in these aspects with the upcoming model.
The Samsung Galaxy S23 FE, which was launched in October 2023, features a 6.4-inch Dynamic full-HD+ AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate. In India, it was powered by the Exynos 2200 chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of inbuilt storage. The triple rear camera setup of the Galaxy S23 FE includes a 50-megapixel sensor with OIS, a 12-megapixel ultrawide shooter, and an 8-megapixel telephoto camera. Additionally, it sports a 10-megapixel front camera sensor for selfies and video calls, housed in a hole-punch cutout on the display. The device is supported by a 4,500mAh battery with 25W wired charging capability.
The leaks and rumors surrounding the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE have sparked anticipation for the new model’s release. If the speculated specifications turn out to be accurate, users can look forward to a slightly smaller display size, upgraded processor, enhanced memory and storage options, and a familiar battery capacity. As more details and information become available, it will be interesting to see how the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE compares to its predecessor and other smartphones in the market.
