I don’t think you have the right show.” The misunderstanding continued as the mom insisted, “She’s doing The Notebook, right?” only to be told, “No, she’s not. She’s not.”

Mary Jane, directed by Anne Kauffman, began previews on April 2 at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre under the Manhattan Theatre Club production. Meanwhile, The Notebook musical is enchanting audiences at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre. McAdams expressed her eagerness to watch the musical once her play concludes its limited run in June. She eagerly remarked, “I can’t wait to see it. I think it’s so exciting. To see it take on a whole other life like this, it blows my mind.”

“The Notebook,” which starred McAdams opposite Ryan Gosling, is based on the beloved Nicholas Sparks novel. The story follows the romantic journey of Allie Hamilton, played by McAdams, a wealthy young woman, and Noah Calhoun, portrayed by Gosling, a working-class man. The film has left a lasting impact on audiences with its timeless love story and memorable performances.
