German Films, the agency responsible for promoting German cinema worldwide, has recently announced the names of the seven participants for the ninth edition of its Face to Face campaign. This highly anticipated event aims to showcase the new generation of filmmakers who have made a lasting impact on the German film industry with their creative and artistic work. Titled “Face to Face with German Films – The Filmmakers,” this year’s edition promises to shine a spotlight on the diverse pool of talent Germany has to offer.

The seven participants selected for this year’s campaign come from various fields within the film industry. They include the distinguished actor Jan Bülow, who has demonstrated his versatility in projects such as “Deutschland ‘89” and “Kafka.” Writer and director Mehmet Akif Büyükatalay, known for his thought-provoking film “Turning Tables,” is also amongst the talented group. Banafshe Hourmazdi, an exceptional actor, and Moritz Müller-Preißer, a skilled writer-director, bring their unique perspectives to the campaign. Additionally, Mona Cathleen Otterbach, a talented production designer, Eva Trobisch, an accomplished writer-director, and Soleen Yusef, an aspiring writer-director, complete the lineup.
