Exploring the Exciting Activations at San Diego Comic-Con

Disney Entertainment Television showcased a wide array of activations at San Diego Comic-Con this year, enticing con-goers with a plethora of interactive experiences. From ABC’s Abbott Elementary hosting the lively A.V.A. Fest complete with games and carnival treats to Hulu’s Animayhem activation featuring beloved series like Family Guy and The Simpsons, there was no shortage of entertainment options for attendees.

One of the highlights included a swing carousel, energizing drumline performances by the Philadelphia Eagles, a giant slide, a high striker, water guns, and an arts and craft section. Additionally, attendees could step inside the world of Solar Opposites and have their stress levels “detected” by a high-tech machine, resulting in the creation of a unique Goobler based on their mood.

Celebrating Iconic Shows

Fans of Bob’s Burgers had the opportunity to create a dance video with the beloved characters from the show, while those reminiscing about old episodes of Family Guy could take a trip down memory lane. The FX area also captivated audiences with activities inspired by hit shows like The Bear and American Horror Story, offering aspiring chefs the chance to pose for a photo inside The Bear’s upscale Chicago restaurant.

For horror enthusiasts, American Horror Story brought the scares with the Hellevator, showcasing iconic moments from the series and providing a sneak peek at Ryan Murphy’s upcoming series, Grotesquerie. Attendees could also capture memories outside of Paddy’s Pub from It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia or explore the vampire’s Staten Island mansion from What We Do in the Shadows. Custom sunshades were also available to help attendees beat the California sun.

The activations at San Diego Comic-Con offered a unique blend of nostalgia, excitement, and immersive experiences for fans of all ages. With each activation offering something different and engaging, attendees were treated to a weekend filled with entertainment and surprises.
