Immerse Yourself in the World of Borderlands at San Diego Comic-Con

If you’re a fan of the upcoming movie Borderlands, starring Cate Blanchett, Haley Bennett, Jamie Lee Curtis, Kevin Hart, Jack Black, Edgar Ramirez, Ariana Greenblatt, Florian Munteanu, and Gina Gershon, then you’re in luck. Even though the stars and filmmaker won’t be at San Diego Comic-Con, you can still get a taste of the movie at the fanboy confab.

For those attending Comic-Con, there’s an exciting event happening at the Gas Lamp district. Transforming the 207 Bar at the Hard Rock Hotel into Moxxi’s Bar, fans can enjoy live sets by DJ Claptrap, Borderlands-themed cocktails curated by Ballantine, and a chance to play slots for Borderlands film merch. Walk-ins are welcome, but you can RSVP for timed entry tickets.

Ballantine’s Scotch whisky has a long-term partnership with Borderlands. In 2022, they teamed up with Borderlands to appoint bar mogul Mad Moxxi as the Chief Galactic Expansion Officer (CGEO) to help launch the world’s second-largest Scotch into the stratosphere. To celebrate the collaboration, Moxxi created a limited-edition Ballantine’s x Moxxi’s Bar Edition Scotch whisky, which launched on Pandora and later in selected retailers. During Comic-Con, Ballantine’s will supply Moxxi’s bar with a limited run of the special edition.

For those passing through Albuquerque on their way to San Diego, the Mountain Dew Borderlands Motel at the Monterey Motel is a must-visit. Co-sponsored by Mountain Dew and Regal Cinemas, this experience will transport fans into the dystopian planet of Pandora. Open to fans 18+ and 21+ to drink, this event takes place on July 22 at 5:30 p.m. MT. It is part of Regal Cinemas’ Ultimate Borderlands Road Trip tour, with refueling stops in Knoxville, Atlanta, Birmingham, Oklahoma City, Dallas, Las Vegas, and Hollywood, all leading to Comic-Con.

Attendees of San Diego Comic-Con are in for a treat with these immersive Borderlands experiences. Whether you’re enjoying Borderlands-themed cocktails at Moxxi’s Bar or exploring the dystopian world of Pandora at the Mountain Dew Borderlands Motel, there’s something for every fan to enjoy. Don’t miss out on these exciting events during Comic-Con week.
