To make a playoff run, the Chiefs must string together consistent performances.
Throughout the season, the Chiefs have been plagued by dropped passes, offensive penalties, and turnovers, leading the league in all three categories. These mistakes have hindered their ability to score points effectively. Mahomes acknowledges that if they can rectify these issues, their offensive potential is immense. With only two games left in the season, the Chiefs need to clean up their act if they want to secure a playoff spot. Clyde Edwards-Helaire and La’Mikal Perine, who were tasked with the running back responsibilities, struggled to make a significant impact. Perine, recently called up from the practice squad to replace McKinnon, had limited success, which adds to the Chiefs’ concerns moving forward.
